Lucy Liu is an American actress voice actress director producer, and vocalist. A beautiful, smart and skilled actor, she's an model for Asian actors who are aspiring to be big stars in Hollywood. The early successes of her were boosted by her appearance on a few popular show. There, she portrayed the evil Ling Woo. Her new-found fame was translated into roles for the big screen in Shanghai Noon, Charlie's Angels and several other films. She then delivered a superlative performance as Japanese crime lord O-Ren as the Quentin Tarantino film Kill Bill Volume 1. In the same period she appeared in box office failures, including Rise: Blood Hunter. In animated movies such as Kung Fu Panda, Tinker Bell and others she voiced characters with prominent voices. Mia Mason, in Cashmere Mafia and other small-screen roles failed to bring her much success. Southland, a critically acclaimed series of police dramas that featured Liu in recurring parts, helped to establish her status as a performer.
